One of the nicest things about taking over the bike shop in Seaford was meeting some old friends and making some new ones.
Some people kept hanging about the shop making my floor muddy, so what better way to get them out of the way than forming a ramshackle, off-road, endurance team and send them off to the far and wet places of Britain to race for hours / days on end.

A good day was had by all at the Muc-Off 8 enduro race at Pippingford Park on Sunday 11th April.
A surprisingly boggy circuit dragged on the legs of John, Jon, Dunc and Craig (Team Mr Cycles - Team Male Veteran) and The Dashing Dellers, Pete & Carl (Team Mr Cycles B-Team - Pair Male Vet), and a very chill wind cooled the spectators and support crew.
The arbitrary A-team finished 96th overall with the arbitrary B-team finishing 52nd overall. Not bad out of over 270 entrants.
Surprisingly John Kaye's chain on his Zaskar only lasted one and a bit laps. It was only thirty years old. They just don't make them like they used to.
Dunc's new titanium hardtail had a run out and performed well for both him and John.
Jamie saved himself for the next race.
All the steak baguettes were gone before Maria and I got to the catering wagon.
The Dellers dashed.
The gazebo blew down.
Bullets and smoke grenades were scattered around the site.
Nice one guys, let's do it again soon...when it's a little warmer.

Rob Jones splashes through a pint at the Gary Fisher G2 Revolver, Stanmer Park, July 2008 while team-mate Tim Edwards looks for his reward after eight hours of racing.
